A very decorative and attractive early 19th century chimneypiece with later additions. In statuary marble with Siena ingrounds. The jambs with foliate carving terminating beneath corner blocks carved with garlands, the finely carved centre tablet depicting a reclining maiden in high relief and flanked by stop fluted frieze panels. c.1820
